Barcola → Liverpool DONE DEAL

We understand that Bradley Barcola has officially signed for Liverpool and that Liverpool and PSG are now just dealing with the formalities before telling any press. Multiple sources have told us information which proves this point.

“Barcola to Liverpool is essentially DONE. The structure of the deal is what they’re going through now”

James Wathland - The Brief FC.

Our Rationale

We view most Liverpool transfers as following this multi-stage progress report to indicate an announcement is imminent;

Stage 1. 5-10 Small ITK accounts on X post “Deal done!”. This is not the final sign but its the start.

Stage 2. Mainstream news reporters such as David Ornstein and Fabrizio Romano state that “The clubs have advanced in talks” and have “Reached verbal agreements”

Stage 3. (NOW) Media silence. No posts from Romano, Ornstein, Sky Sport, The Athletic, nobody.

Final stage. Club or Mainstream media announce the signing.

OUR TAKE 🐶

Liverpool are absolute giants who need to sign multiple players before September in order to compete for the Premier League title. If they cannot sign more players after or even without Barcola they are in serious trouble.

We understand that Liverpool’s original valuation of Bradley Barcola was £90mil and didn’t intend on going over £100m. However, after the unexpected departure of Mo Salah and the display of urgency for a winger, we believe that PSG have hiked up their price for Barcola knowing that Liverpool will go ahead and buy him anyway.

Understand that DawgHouseNews prices the deal at £120m with addons.
