SEATTLE. Patrick Mahomes has started 153 games for the Chiefs. Sunday night was the first time his offense never got inside the opponent's 20-yard line.
Seattle's defense held Kansas City to 213 total yards and 11 first downs, both the fewest in a Mahomes start, and the Seahawks won 20-3 at Lumen Field. The three points tied the fewest the Chiefs have scored with Mahomes under center.
Mahomes finished 19 of 33 for 165 yards with no touchdowns and an interception. He was pressured on 53% of his dropbacks, and the Chiefs' first loss of the season came in a game they never controlled.
A ROUGH RETURN FOR WALKER 🏈
Kenneth Walker III came back to Seattle and found no room. He ran 14 times for 36 yards after topping 115 rushing yards in four of Kansas City's first five games.
Seattle had no such trouble. Emanuel Wilson ran for 100 yards and a touchdown, and Sam Darnold threw for 257 yards and a score.

OUR TAKE 🐶
This was the most complete defensive night anyone has had against Mahomes, and it came from a team that is now 4-3. Seattle sits two games behind San Francisco in the division, but this is the kind of win that changes how the rest of the league prepares for it.
For Kansas City, 5-1 is still a fine record. The worry is that every defensive coordinator left on the schedule now has this tape.
