OWINGS MILLS, Md. Lamar Jackson is expected to start for the Ravens on Sunday in Buffalo, CBS Sports' Matt Zenitz reported. Barring a setback, the plan is for him to end a three-game absence.
Jackson was a full participant in Wednesday's practice and handled all of the first-team work. It was his first full practice since he sprained his left ankle in an Oct. 4 win over Tennessee, 24 days earlier, according to ESPN.
The ankle was taped, and ESPN's Jamison Hensley reported that he moved well throwing to Zay Flowers and handing off to Derrick Henry. He did not run during the portion of practice open to the media.

WHY BALTIMORE NEEDS HIM 📉
The Ravens started 4-1. They have lost two straight since, both without Jackson, and dropped from first to last in the AFC North, per CBS Sports.
The last one hurt most. Baltimore led Cincinnati 13-0 at halftime and lost 35-13, giving up touchdowns on five straight Bengals possessions after the break, Ravens Wire noted. The Ravens are 1-2 with Tyler Huntley under center and have not scored in the second half of either loss.
Jackson was sharp before the injury. He completed 70.8 percent of his passes with six touchdowns and one interception, and ran for 144 yards at 7.6 yards a carry.

This is the best news Baltimore has had in a month. A 4-3 team sitting last in its division cannot afford to wait, and Buffalo at 5-1 is about as hard a road test as the AFC offers.
The question is how much of Jackson they get. A high ankle sprain can limit the running that makes him different, so watch how often Baltimore calls his number on the ground early.
