Central banks bought the gold dip. Did you?

From 2002 to 2010, central banks sold a net 134 million ounces of gold. Since then they have bought all of it back, and another 111 million ounces on top.
In the second quarter of 2026, they added 289 tonnes while gold fell 14%. Falling prices used to scare official buyers off. Now they buy the dip.
Our research team's free report, Central Banks Bought the Gold Dip. Did You?, shows who is buying, what they are selling to pay for it, and why the team expects the buying to continue.

THE STORY 🗞️
Chicago opened with a 17-play, 80-yard drive that ended with Luther Burden III's 1-yard touchdown, and the Bears led 20-9 going into the fourth quarter. Seattle made it a one-score game when Cooper Kupp caught a 7-yard touchdown and Horton added the two-point conversion, cutting it to 20-17 with 11:46 left.
On the next drive, a delay-of-game penalty wiped out a Seattle stop. Kalif Raymond then ran 39 yards to the Seattle 5 and Swift scored from there to make it 27-17 with 8:28 left. On Seattle's next possession, Booker tipped a Sam Darnold pass and Lynch picked it off, his first interception since high school. Swift scored again from 5 yards out with 4:41 left. Booker had also blocked a field goal earlier in the game.
The 34 points, 363 yards and 22 first downs were all the most Seattle has allowed this season. The Seahawks had gone 21-6 since the start of last season, and all six of those losses were by four points or fewer. Darnold went 17 of 34 for 188 yards, two touchdowns and an interception.
"When the pressure's high, we want to be at our best and all three phases did that."
Ben Johnson, Bears head coach
"Tip of the cap to the Bears, they won the game, they won it fair and square, and they won it in all three phases."
Mike Macdonald, Seahawks head coach
OUR TAKE 🐶
The yardage on Swift's line is ordinary, but the touchdowns came at the right times. Chicago won this on the road against the defending champions by being steadier in the fourth quarter, and Simmons, acquired from Tennessee on 29 October, looked ready from his first snap. Johnson said afterwards, "We didn't come here to make a statement." The Bears now sit half a game behind the 6-1 Vikings in the NFC North.
For Seattle, the third-down number is the one that will sting. Smith-Njigba is still producing, but 1 for 11 is not going to win many games.
